"Trends in Executive Coaching: New Research Reveals Emerging Best Practices" shows organizations increasingly are using executive coaching to enhance performance across the enterprise by grooming high-potential employees, while also supporting high-performing executives and leadership teams. Here are some of the highlights:

• Demand for executive coaching services is growing due to increased credibility and demonstrated impact on the enterprise. The vast majority of the study's nearly 500 respondents (78 percent) view coaching as a credible and effective way to enhance an individual's effectiveness in driving an organization's performance.

• Organizations are benefiting from a high return on investment (ROI) for executive coaching. Of study respondents who calculate ROI, 77 percent believe executive coaching provides their organizations with a solid return. These individuals estimate levels ranging from a minimum of 100 percent ROI to more than a 500 percent return.

• In addition to tracking direct evidence of financial return, organizations also consider a variety of qualitative factors when measuring the impact of coaching. These include: achievement of agreed-upon development objectives (84 percent); anecdotal evidence of success (83 percent); assessment from the coach (82 percent); other people's perceptions of the coachee (79 percent); and the coachee's ability to be promoted or to take on new responsibilities (74 percent).

• Organizations are using a combination of metrics and qualitative factors when evaluating the success of executive coaching. Organizations measuring direct financial impact most often track: executive output (33 percent), such as sales revenue and productivity; quality improvements (23 percent), such as increased reliability or decreased defects; cost savings (23 percent); and turnover (21 percent).

• A majority of enterprise executives (78 percent) view executive coaching as credible and valuable. "DBM's research reinforces that executive coaching can generate significant rewards within an organization," says Karen O'Boyle, president of DBM North America. "Businesses that invest in human capital by effectively leveraging executive coaching to groom talent throughout the enterprise are witnessing a significant impact on both operational excellence and the bottom line."

Sunday, August 10, 2008

I would find you in my next (or next next or next next next) trip. I suspect I am still equipped with chinese writing skill, and believe continuous practice would sharpen my skill (next time sin la).

Recently I discover I am the one who put career lower than love. Career stands at the second place while the remaining would be friends and family. This is distant from what I am used to consciously say, since which may call people 'discriminating' yourself. At the same time, behaviour of friends surrounding me align with what I now believe. Career is somewhat the tools for a better life. It strengthens my thought. That's really turn my life changing also, sleep earlier. I live happier than before, feel the achievement of accomanying with my partner. I have been establishing an unique kind of communication with her such as jargon and style with less barriers, an shared vision, respect. All are backed up by every experience.

The change is supported by my self-dialogue, peers effect, emotionalised action, injection of new belief. It can be an example of self-hypnosis.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

My milestone within 3 years --- Having my property.

Smaller goal contributing the milestone --- Saving $4000 each month

Opportunity to save more --- Find new job, Fine part-time job, Read more books, Establish my library, Think before spending, Seeking Freelance

Saturday, July 05, 2008

How nice to have dinner with some of my HRmates, xxx XXX xx XXXX Xxx...... too many that i cannot name it once. today i have watched the movie of KungFu Panda, which is funny and joyful, drawing much adults' laugh (but not children).

Tuesday, July 01, 2008

Enjoying the 30/6 and 1/7 holiday with friends, Wilson... too many (amounts to 15)... having dinner of seafood, dessert, playing card games of 'bang' and 'uno'...

'The Fifth Discipline', hope that i can finish my reading about this book.

Saturday, June 28, 2008

I am now relaxing at home, checking the email, reading news, planning what subjects suitable in the Master programme. All the criteria in choosing the job suddenly enter into my mind, salary, development, job nature, time spent, culture, leading style, presence of assistant, work system, nature of business, importance of identity, audience... cramped into my mind. It's very sudden and I remain stupor. I need time to digest.

*********************************************************

I am wondering the surrounding people's thinking methodology. How come you spend on doing which is done? How come the training matrix is not suggested? How come you invest in what is not regarded as important or uncertainly important? The thing headed in the agenda has been developed! Work or suggestion should be done prior to next meeting, not during the meeting! Album is designed for customers only customers regard it as essential!

*********************************************************

Today, Celia and I attend the last lesson of self-hypnosis. Basic step in doing hypnosis and grammar of suggestion are taught. Very funny! The concept could be adopted in various nature, marketing, training, coaching, advertising and so on!
